Hi all,

Um... So most of my work on here is pretty shite, and I sort of dislike my old username (too many memories of bygone middle-school silliness).

There's some newer tablet work on there, but it's still kind of rough around the edges.  ...Literally.

Yeah, I haven't been around much, but I've been lurking every now and then.  I've been too cheap to buy a new tablet that works with Snow Leopard, and I don't think they've written a patch for my old tablet (no point, if they have new models.  Sigh.)  I want to get a second laptop, something that runs on Linux or Windos, for some practical reasons (e.g., coding in something like Visual Basic, which you can't have on a Mac).  

Also, it doesn't help that I have a full time job at the moment.  I haven't drawn anything in ages.  Nothing that I am proud of, at least.

But that's beside the point.

1. Aurelia is missing her left arm from the elbow down.  A common misconception is that it was eaten off by a lion.
2. However, there IS a mid sized scar across her right cheek that is actually a result of a lion pawing her face.
3. It's pretty easy to get money off the girl - she's a fan of small gambling (things like Craps or Three Card Monty).
4. Aurelia never learned to read until the age of 14.  Ish.
5. Chocolate makes her stomach a little queasy, though she can eat all raw foods (including meat and eggs) without too much trouble.

7. For several months, she thought she was schizophrenic when she heard people singing in her head.

(What's sad is - if I was forced between being fed arsenic and having to choose a "team", I probably would go for Jacob.  Dude, Taylor Lautner has a hot body.  And he's 16?  WTF, man.  The only part of New Moon worth watching was Taylor Lautner's pectorals.  Yeah, you heard me.)

First of all, they just booted the sex offender app.  Talk about ethics right there.  If the programmers sue, I will laugh my butt off until the economy comes back.

Also, Apple is coming out with a tablet?  Why has this not occurred earlier?

I'm not sure that I'm willing to drop $500 on a "Macbook Touch", especially since I'm not actually a professional artist, but just the idea of this coming out makes me want to cry a little bit.  I mean.  It just LOOKS beautiful.

Until then, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with my G-Pen.  Not exactly a Wacom, but you take what you can get.

1.)  I start really ambitious art projects (both visual and writing), and usually manage to finish them, but then get really disheartened maybe halfway through the process of getting it publicly viewed.

2.)  I sometimes feel weird about going back to sites like Gaia and DeviantArt, esp. now that I'm into my second year of uni.  But I'm a glutton for things like that.  (Maybe not Gaia, so much, esp. after the Black Circus.)

3.)  I much prefer to cook my own sweets over buying them b/c I know I'm putting stuff in that a.) I trust and b.) I actually think taste good.  Plus, it's always a lot cheaper.  The best things in life aren't necessarily free, but they're pretty darn close

4.)  In freshman year, I drew a tattoo design for myself, but whenever I consider actually getting it plastered to my body, I feel bad b/c then I won't be able to donate blood!

5.)  The only reason I don't suggest going Dutch more often is because my guy friends always get really angry about it

6.)  My first gaming console love will always be my N64.  Keep your Wii - all I need is Ocarina of Time (...and maybe some DDR on my PS2 on the side.)

7.)  I didn't stop drawing, but my scanner died, and I still have little talent with my tablet.  A man-self meme will be coming, though.  Eventually.

8.)  A lot of big name bands are kind of overrated, IMHO.  I will love Switchfoot and Guster until the end of time, but even they aren't that well known (more Guster than Switchfoot, I guess).  Civalias is high on my list right now.
